A notable example is the course “Tourism and Women in Africa”, delivered by the UNESCO Chair in Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development, the TiDES Institute, and the EMOTUR Lab, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Across four successful editions (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025), we have trained more than 50 African women from 15 countries, empowering them through knowledge, leadership, and sustainable tourism practices.

In addition, it encourages the use of digital tools to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of gastronomic and wine tourism experiences.
Gastrotour also fosters knowledge exchange between regions and the creation of international collaboration networks.
